STATEMENT FROM THE SPANISH TOURIST OFFICE
BALEARIC COACH DRIVERS STRIKE

Following the recent industrial action in the Balearic Islands, the Spanish Tourist Office is pleased to announce that an agreement has been reached between representatives of the coach drivers union and the employers. The agreement signed yesterday evening will be in place from 2001 to 2003, ensuring continued service for at least three years.

The Spanish Tourist Office regrets any inconvenience to British tourists during the period of the dispute and is confident that with the signature of this agreement, holidays to the Balearic Islands will again be trouble free and enjoyed by all.
